Gilbert Alexander Almaraz
Actor | Singer | Dancer
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by spectacle and lights, Gilbert has loved the spotlight from an early age. His love for music began in choir and grew through community theatre in middle school, where he performed in shows such as The Little Mermaid, Seussical, and Little Women which also sparked his passion for Musical Theatre.
Coming from an immigrant Hispanic family, Gilbert is a first-generation college student whose background deeply informs the stories he is drawn to tell. He is especially passionate about musical theatre that amplifies voices not often heard and believes in the power of storytelling to create connection, visibility, and understanding.
Gilbert trained in musical theatre at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Emerson College. When he’s not performing or training, he’s likely watching basketball, catching an AMC movie with his A List, or reading DC comics.
